    Call of Duty Vanguard fails to play (regardless of settings and resetting config)


    I have recently purchased Call of Duty Vanguard and the game appears to freeze, and reset the XBox.

    It either restarts the machine or sends the machine back to the home page.

    I have installed it twice to make sure that the installation wasn't the cause.

    I have reset the MAC and cleared the cache, to no avail.

    Can you suggest a fix for this problem, as the game tries to start then the V (progress) freezes and a pixelated white/pink window flashes before the reset, as i have paid a small fortune for both the New Xbox Series x and the game

    Hello I had same similar problems I went to settings on Xbox s and x and via switcher (games) screen for cod move to highlighted game and go to settings (graphics) and turn off ON-DEMAND TEXTURE STREAMING or google it had to because of connection of internet connection

    First, welcome to the Xbox community. Apparently, it might be a hardware issue, but before we confirm this, could you say if this issue happens with other games, or is it just with the call of duty vanguard?

    Given the solutions you've tried, I suggest you try the alternatives below and see if the problem is resolved.

    Try plugging the console directly into the power outlet, without using a line filter

    Try testing the console on another power outlet

    - If the tips above don't help, try the solutions below, please.

    Solution 1:

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

    Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

    After removing the account follow the procedure below.

    Step 1. Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for at least 10 seconds to open the Power center.

    Step 2. Then unplug the power supply from your console and wait for 3 minutes.

    Step 3. Plug the power supply back into the Xbox console.

    Step 4. Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it on again.

    Now add your account again.

    Solution 2:

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage devices.

    Select Clear local saved games.

    Select Yes to confirm.

    Restart your console.

    Solution 3:

    Press the Xbox button on your controller.

    Go to Settings.

    Select Network.

    Select Network Settings.

    Select Advanced Network Settings.

    Select DNS Settings.

    Select Manual and enter the following:

    Primary 8.8.8.8

    Secondary 8.8.4.4

    Thank you for the assistance, however i have tried all these solutions that you provided, to no avail.

    I doubt that the Xbox is at fault here, as ALL my other games work without fault.

    My son downloaded a version of Vanguard for his Series X machine and that works fine. I have already returned one disc, as this was happening on that purchase too. So i believe it is something to do with the Game and media it is presented on. Maybe a driver conflict or something. Even though the game always downloads the 1 day patch, before allowing you to play. So i am trying to proceed with a warranty claim which I have raised with Activision, but if the issue can be fixed, that would be great (as i really want to play the game).
