Call of duty modern ware fare (2019)

I downloaded call of duty mw on my Xbox series X I didn’t do it via the disc I downloaded it through the store but I believe it’s the war zone version but now when I put my disc in it just says purchase on the multiplayer/campaign

If you still have the same issue, please try following the steps provided in order to resolve the issue:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

Another step that you can try to resolve the issue, would be to remove and re-add your account. In order to do that please go to: settings> account> remove accounts> remove your account.

If this does not resolve your issue please follow the next steps:

1- Go to settings

2- Select devices and connections

3- Select Blu-ray

4- Choose persistent storage and clear it

If the issue still persists after going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 10-15 seconds plug all your cables back in and then restart your console.

Kindly make sure that the game is successfully purchased under the account that you're using, please follow the steps below:

Once confirmed that it is purchased under the correct account, kindly remove and re-add your account to re-sync the licenses of your account.

" REMOVE ACCOUNT

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

3. Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

4. When you're finished, select Close.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

ADD ACCOUNT

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select your gamerpic in the upper-left corner of the screen, move all the way down and select Add new.

3. Enter the Email address and the password.

4. Read the Microsoft Service Agreement and Privacy Statement, and then select I Accept.

5. Follow the steps to configure your Sign-In & Security preferences to add your Microsoft account to your Xbox console."

This is how COD MW works, unfortunately there is no way of going back to season 1 as of now. Activision is explaining their progression and ranking system (including seasons) here
