Call of Duty Keeps Crashing in Xbox App

Whenever I try to use the COD launcher on the Xbox app it crashes a few seconds in. I get the message:

The game has crashed. Error code 0xfffffffe

Two hours ago it was working fine. Is anyone else having this issue? I just subscribed to Game Pass specifically for MW III and BO6 and now I can't even play even though earlier today everything was working. I deleted and reinstalled the app and that fixed nothing. What is going on?

Damn. Both games took over six hours to install. I have to do it all over again? I don't get why they were fine this morning and then suddenly they just don't work.

1. Go to the game installation directory ex: "D:\Xbox Game Platform".

2. Rename the game folder from "Call of Duty" to something else.

3. Uninstall the game from "Windows Settings > Apps > Installed Apps".

4. Go back to the install directory and rename the game folder back to "Call of Duty".

5. Open Xbox App and install the game to the same directory.

After installing, try launching the game and see if it works.

And then clear persistent storage. To do this please go to Settings > Devices & connections > Blu-ray > Persistent storage and select Clear persistent storage. This can help resolve issues related to cached data.

Next is to check for overheating. Kindly make sure your console is in a well-ventilated area and that the vents are not blocked. It is because overheating can cause performance issues and crashes.

If the steps above won't work kindly uninstall and reinstall Call of Duty to ensure you have the latest version and for the corrupted files will be deleted too.

Having the same issue with multiple games (Call of Duty and RYSE). In Call of Duty it was crashing from the menus and in RYSE it crashed during gameplay.
