Call of duty, corrupted update, install stopped, removed game purchase from consoles players

I had issues updating call of duty. I restarted console, ive cleared mac address, ive uninstalled the game. Now it’s saying i need to buy it again. Literal took the game away and all its data despite having paid for it. Microsoft tell people to reset console but that would erase all data of games we have invested in and someone would need to be responsible for those losses. The problem started with the update. Ive seen this is not a singular issue and is happening to many people. What this update package corrupted in general? Seems like it has effected all older consoles and made the game unplayable

For Call of Duty ELITE remove the app and re-download it and for MW3 try to remove one of the latest updates and launch the game and install that update so it refreshes.

There are a few different reasons why an installation will stop like that, although from what you are saying, it sounds like Call of Duty might've gotten corrupted.

If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions:

- Is this Call of Duty MW3?

- Do you own this game digitally or as a disc?

- Do you have any external storage units plugged into your console? If so, may I ask where this game is installed?

- Have you already done some troubleshooting on your own? If so, could you tell me what you've tried so far?

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that your Xbox One is asking you to purchase Call of Duty: Modern Warfare even though you already own it on disc. We recommend uninstalling the game, taking your console offline, installing the
game again and going online to update. This process allows the console to install and read the license from the disc. The support article we will provide has more detailed steps on

Includes 2 games for download via XBOX LIVE:

FIFA 15 is loaded, the installation reaches 19%, the installation stops with a message "Install stopped!"

DANCE CENTRAL SPOTLIGHT downloaded, installed, but does not start

If you delete these games, reset to factory settings console, they remain visible on the console as a "ready to install"

Playing the disc FORZA HORIZON 2 without internet connection installed and started, if you connect to the Internet update requests size 2.9 GB, the update is downloaded, installed, but the game does not run

Playing the disc CALL OF DUTY ADVANCED WARFARE - without connecting to intrnet install and run, when the Internet request update size 690 MB, the update is downloaded, the installation comes to 99% and is terminated with the message "Install stopped!"

All attempts to remove, reinstall the game, restart the console to reset to factory settings, change the account to positive results do not lead.
