    Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War crashing or not loading SOLUTION


    Hello,

    I want to share a solution that I found on YouTube on how to fix Black Ops Cold War not launching/ crashing. I have posted separately on this matter, but I want to have it easily accessible for anyone who needs help.

    The solution is as follows:

    Go to Manage Games and Apps for Black Ops Cold War -> Locate the BASE game (it will be at the top with a file size of 1.1 gigabytes) -> Uncheck the box for ONLY the base game -> Confirm your choice and uninstall it (please keep in mind that it will uninstall everything related to Black Ops Cold War) -> Go to the Microsoft Store -> Look up Black Ops Cold War and reinstall it -> Check the download size and make sure it is between 100-115 gigabytes (if it is, it worked) -> Wait until you can open the game (the Ready mark at around 30 gigabytes or when it is fully downloaded is fine) -> Open the game and it should load without any problems.

    I suspect that the base game size was the problem. It was 1.1 gigabytes before I uninstalled the base game, and afterwards, it was a file size of about 43 gigabytes.
