Nearly all requests for parental lock are kids trying to bypass the parental lock. The reset is easy and painless when signing into the microsoft account of the parent who created the lock code.

This can't be simply bypassed, otherwise anyone can just reset it and bypass it at any time, making it pointless.

If you are the parent, and of age to make the decisions on content, then you can call phone support and prove it, then they will give you a console specific code that will remove the lock.

Now if you are the kid, then talk to your parents nicely instead of trying to bypass stuff.

I believe this is to prevent signing into another account to bypass any restrictions.

A possible future implementation could be to just require the parental control code to access content that is normal restricted. But currently a global impact is the only way parental controls will work.
