    Buzzing xbox one headset

Hello today I just got a new wired only xbox one controller which can only allow headphones such orb and Apple headphones. I got it because it's a pain of waiting for my controller to recharge. Anyway my problem is that whenever I join a party all my freinds
can hear from me is a very loud buzzing sound unless I talk. I can't hear the buzzing unless I hear it back on a voice message anyway I have tried turning the volume down on the headset and the xbox side bar volume settings, I have also changed where I plug
in the controller instead of the side it's now the back but still nothing has changed. I may need to get a new headset but I don't know what one to get as the official xbox headphones won't be able to plug into my controller.

Someone please help me it's just such a pain my gamertag if you need it is .

    :)

  2. My Tritton Headset upsets me!!!

    I have a triton multi-platform headset.

It used to work fine, but one day it just started buzzing. I found the problem was something to do with the actual mic itself. Whenever I removed it, the buzz stopped, but if I put it back in it buzzed again. It was the same for my Xbox and my PC.

    Can someone PLEASE HELP!!!

Turtle Beach Earforce X12 makes continuous buzzing sound with stereo headset adapter/xbox one controller

I purchased the xbox one stereo headset adapter so that I could use my turtle beach earforce X12 headset on the xbox one. I checked the compatibility page and the earforce x12 was compatible with the stereo adapter. When my xbox one controller is plugged
into the xbox one via usb cable (no batteries or battery pack) and my turtle beach headset is plugged into the controller (via the stereo headset adapter), I get a constant buzzing noise in the headset like there is interference or something. If I connect
the controller to the xbox one without the usb cord (using battery power), there is no buzzing sound and the headset works fine. I just really don’t want to have to keep buying batteries and/or get a battery pack so I was hoping there is a way to power the
controller with just a usb cable (no batteries/battery pack) that doesn’t involve plugging it into the xbox one system directly since this appears to cause some interference and the buzzing sound. The same thing would happen on my xbox 360, but all I had to
do to fix it was plug the controller (using the plug and play cord only, no battery pack) into a usb outlet in the wall so that the headset and controller weren’t being powered off of the xbox 360 (I also tried plugging the headset into a usb outlet and leaving
the controller plugged into the xbox but I still had the buzzing noise if I did it that way). If I try this method on the xbox one, the contoller won’t power on when plugged into a usb wall outlet. Is there any way to get the controller to power on when it
is plugged into a usb wall outlet?

Here is what I did to hook the headset up to the xbox one in the first place:

I hooked up the stereo headset adapter and updated my xbox one controller. I then used the following instructions to hook up my turtle beach headset:

    1. hooked the stereo adapter into the controller,

    2. attached the 2.5mm-3.5mm cord adapter into the stereo adapter,

    3. plugged my turtle beach headset cord into the 2.5mm-3.5mm cord adapter,

    4. plugged the audio cord on the headset into the audio out on the monitor,

    5. plugged the headset usb power cord into the xbox.

    Buzzing xbox one headset

Hey Me1648! Is the Xbox controller you are using a first party product? Additionally, does it have a 3.5 mm jack in the inside? Post back and let me know!

    Headset Buzzing

does the buzzing go away if you move the wire from the controller to the Xbox.

I have 2 wired controllers (a Duke and an Afterglow) and the Duke makes a buzzing sound if the wire isn't in exactly the right place.

the Afterglow doesn't make the buzzing sound but it doesn't have a Chat Mixer setting in the Xbox settings so I get game sound through the headset

Has your controller ever overheated before?

Thanks for the response, but doesn't the controller buzz while using a headset for you?

Wired Controller / Headset Mic Buzzing Noise

Basically, the noise is coming from the electrical current running through the controller due to it being wired into the console directly to charge a wireless controller or allow to maintain connection for a wired controller. Unfortunately,
depending on the headset you are using, this buzzing will not go away. In my experience, the only headset I own that does not buzz while I am "wired" into my console are my 100% wireless Turtle Beach 800X Elites. I have the Turtle Beach XO-1, XO-Seven Pro,
800x Elite, Astro A40 and the standard Microsoft Headset (black). As I said, the only ones that don't buzz are the 800 elites because they plug into the console via USB and Optical. All others plug into the controller in one way or another.
