    Hi, I bought a xbox credit card with about to 4 USD and I wanted to buy gamepass since now the ultimate game pass is 1 USD but I can't buy it becouse I need to add payment method..

    So my question is..

    Is there a way to buy Game Pass using only my Microsoft balance.. Without any other payment methods

    Ummm that only applies to xbox games he is talking about PC

    NO you don't need gold or gamepass HOWEVER if you want to play it but not buy then gamepass is needed

    And you can buy it at a discount with gamepass to keep it otherwise you can't play it after gamepass expires

    Now if you buy it separately no gamepass isn't needed

    In Gamepass and Gamepass Ultimate is XBOX Live Gold included. If you want Gamepass or Gamepass Ultimate, you must buy this subscription too.

    Upgrading Xbox live to include Game pass

    By "xbox live" do you mean xbox gold? If you are adding gamepass separately to gold then you might as well just upgrade to the gamepass ultimate. All the current months will convert to gamepass ultimate. Buying them separately will only be a hassle rather than buying them in one package in ultimate. That's also the only way to keep the auto renew date the same is if you upgrade to the ultimate gamepass.

    lots of people buy gamepass for some of the perks. it is not free when you have to buy gamepass.
