buying Xbox game not tracked in reward program

Hi,

I just asked about my rewards not tracked in Dec, and was told Microsoft store buying is not counted, only buying through Xbox.com is counted.

But when I clicked the buying from Xbox.com it actually redirect me to Microsoftstore.com to buy the box game. So they are merged or not? How do I identify which interface I access is counted and which is not? They are all xbox download game and what is
the key different up know which one is included in the reward program?

I am extremely confused here..

For help with the Rewards program, it's best to post in the Xbox Rewards Questions forum. If the program has tracked your purchases properly, they would show as punches on the punchcard's page, but keep in mind that the credits will not be given until after
all 3 games have been released.

Xbox live reward programs gives you free points for playing and buying games.

If the web address is microsoftstore.com, that is Microsoft's retail store and is not the same as the Xbox store. You would be buying either a physical disc or a downloadable code from that site. Only offers that specify making the purchase from microsoftstore.com
will qualify for that. This site would look like this - https://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/Halo-Wars-2-for-Xbox-One/productID.5063032900

If the web address is microsoft.com, that is part of the Xbox Store and those purchases would count. The site would look like this - Buy Halo Wars 2 - Microsoft Store

Thank you for the explanation. Now it is easier to find out which one is correct way to go with xbox live reward program.

If there is different between different MS interface to get xbox game and both are official from Microsoft, Microsoft should change back the xbox game selling section under xbox.com It just casue confusion and it is very easy that when you click and browse
the game, it actually go back to the other MS store.
