    Buying the games from shops dts 5.1 7.1 question


    Hi why do u make it hard to tell when you buy games on the shops if there 5.1 OR 7.1 OR DTS ? I have looked on the boxe's and cant see any info.Also why did u have to put game disc on the left hand side now ? and no longer on the right ? Also don't get
    me wrong I don't play PS4 lol Buying the games from shops dts 5.1 7.1 question :) but on there display boxes they make it clear if the games are 5.1 or 7.1 DTS.Thank you.

    Me too. Dts for me is louder. Apart from that i cant tell much difference isn 7.1 and dts.

    5.1 surround question

    Not going to work. The Xbox One currently has zero support for Dolby Digital 5.1/7.1. It only supports Stereo, Uncompressed 5.1/7.1 (which isn't Dolby Digital), and DTS Digital Surround over HDMI. Your headset doesn't accept DTS and optical cannot support
    uncompressed 5.1/7.1 (not enough bandwidth).

    It's best to wait for Dolby Digital support to be added. It's coming.

    From memory the Xbone does got give the option of 5.1.

    AFAIK if 7.1 is chosen and you only have a 5.1 home theatre the Receiver redirects the missing 2 channels to the back speakers.

    BTW When I had my cable box connected the sound would revert from DTS to Stereo. Now I have disconnected the Cable box it reverts (less frequently) from DTS to uncompressed 7.1. I now leave it on uncompressed 7.1. (Receiver Yamaha DSP-Z7)

    Is it just me with surround sound issues?

    I have a 5.1 surround sound & DTS or uncompressed 5.1 works fine for me but it keeps defaulting to uncompressed 7.1.
