  1. Buying PC Games from Windows Store, any restrictions?

Now that Rise of the Tomb Raider is on the Windows Store, and Quantum Break will soon be I have a few questions if someone could take the time to answer please.

    1) I see that there is a restriction of installing on up to 10 Windows 10 devices, is that at a time or lifetime installations?

    2) Currently Rise of the Tomb Raider lacks an option to turn off Vsync, or pick fullscreen or windowed mode (it does seem to have borderless fullscreen mode) is this a restriction of the Xbox on Windows 10 platform?

    3) Not specific to either one of the previously mentioned games but, does Windows Store policy allow for modding?

Thanks, ahead of time. I will take a link to the answers as well.

    :)

Microsoft is not killing off consoles

This is about driving people to Windows Store period. Windows store is the platform. Like Apple Store. I'd argue to you guys that people bailing on Xbox and buying games through the Windows store more than offsets the loss of the hardware sales. MS wants their store to compete with Steam. Most sales will come from Xbox gamers for now but it's not a bad thing if some of those gamers migrate to the PC and start making Windows Store more relevant in the PC space. Maybe if you get used to buying Halo 6, Gears of War and Sea of Thieves on the Windows store, you'll be more likely to purchase EA Access and 3rd party games through there as well even if you aren't a console gamer. I'm guessing the Windows store on PC that everyone knows today will go through a significant overhaul in regards to looks and functionality. Xbox and PC gamers will shop for MS exclusives through a store that looks and functions similarly regardless where you buy it.

RIght now MS gets no cut of 3rd party games bought on PC. If they can drastically improve Windows Store to compete with Steam and use their exclusives to lure people there, the money they make from software will dwarf any losses from hardware sales.

This puts significance on Windows exclusives...not less. There's more at stake. Let's remember that Steam only became significant because Valve forced people to buy Half Life 2 through Steam at first. Things snowballed from there.

    Quantum Break Windows Code

If you do not have an Xbox One, it would make more sense for you to buy the game directly from the Windows 10 store on your PC.

Go to the Games tab on the Store on your PC and you should see it there to buy.

Buying Red Dead Redemption 2 from Microsoft store to play on PC

Unfortunately no. Even though the game was released for PC, it's not available for purchase on the Windows store. It would have to be purchased through Steam, Epic's game store, or another service in order to buy the PC version.
oh..Thanks for the fast reply. It's unfortunate coz I don't have money to buy it from Steam or wherever. What I had is Microsoft Balance gifted by my friends. Is there any little chance in near future (3-4 months) that it will be available in pc through microsoft
    store?

Hello Neighbor for Windows 10 PC

Is anyone else running this game from their Xbox Game Pass subscription on Windows 10 PC? Or did you buy the game outright from the Windows Store and still get this error? If not, I'd be leaning towards this being a licensing issue with this Hello Neighbor
for PC not being properly part of XGP.
