Buying games to play on cloud gaming

If I purchase a game (Hogwarts legacy) can I play it using cloud gaming only. I do not have an Xbox at the moment. If so which edition must I preorder?

The only games that can be played on the cloud are those on Game Pass and it would need an Ultimate subscription. HL isn't on Game Pass

If you buy the game, then you need a console to install it on.

Yes you can play cloud gaming on a chromebook bc i have a chromebook and I use it for cloud gaming.

But you will need to buy the cloud gaming monthly plan to play cloud gaming

Cloud gaming is just a reason for Xbox to scam more money. Buy games buy still can't play unless it's on cloud gaming. Whole thing is a scam

If you were to buy it you could download it on console or PC. But if you're only playing through the cloud it wouldn't be worth it for you to buy it since Game Pass Ultimate is required to play on the cloud so you'd need the subscription anyway.

You can use the progress everywhere. Hades in an Xbox play anywhere title, this means that if you purchase the game on PC, you are going to get the Xbox version as well.
