    Buying an Xbox Series X through the Insider Program


    I saw a video from 2 months ago that said some Xbox Insider members got the opportunity to buy a next gen console through the Insider Hub. That was only a test to try to combat the scalpers but has it been permanently implemented yet?

    I'm having the same issue on Xbox Series X. Zero friends showing.

    I'm also in the Omega Insider program thing, in case that should be known.

    Did you sign up for the Console Purchase Pilot through the Xbox Insider Hub like the article that you linked says to?

    "If you’re interested in potentially buying an Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, you’ll need to hop into the Xbox Insider Hub and sign up for the Console Purchase Pilot through there. Good news if you signed up last time and weren’t selected: Microsoft says that you’ve already opted into this round and won’t need to do anything for the chance to be selected again."

    Hi Dannywolfblood1,

    The backwards compatible program is on hold for now as the team are busy working on next gen/ Series X.

    I am sure they will eventually resume duties on the program once they are done with the Series X and the next gen series of consoles.
