Buying a game from xbox live

Are you trying to buy the Map Pack from the in game store? Or are you trying to buy it from the Xbox Live Marketplace? If you're trying to buy it from the Xbox Live Marketplace, I suggest trying to buy it from the in game store (and vice versa).

• Check your card details are correct
• Make sure the account you are using to purchase is the same account linked to your xbox gamertag
• Try purchasing it from the microsoft store via web browser?

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are experiencing difficulties with being able to purchase a Backwards Compatible title.

For this scenario, I would recommend using the final suggestions provided by Xbox Forums Ambassador

julosjc and remove your
payment instrument from your account first, then attempt to purchase the game via the Xbox website.

You will then be prompted that you need to add a payment instrument to your account, be sure to provide all the details depicted by Xbox Forums Ambassador

The 360 market is a little more strict than that for Xbox one. You must have a working credit card for your region, with a real address, telephone number, and all data.

The pre paid Xbox Live currency can only be used for Content or buying videos or buying games on Xbox Live service. You will need to buy a Xbox Live membership at your local retailer or buy it directly from Xbox Live using a credit card or debit card.
