Buy year of gold get $15 back

This promotion happened in june-ish. I bought a year and I keep getting the run around about why I have not received my $15. There were two options redeem code through the dashboard promotion or buy through same dashboard location. I redeemed my code through
the promotion area on june 19th i believe and still have not got anything but a headache and talk to this person no talk to this person oh wait maybe post on the forum.. some one please help me.

Good evening everyone, I buy a 1 year gold membership but it only worked 15 days. While when I go in my subscriptions my gold is activated until 24/12/2018

 

In order to qualify for the offer you had to purchase the gold directly through the ad on the dashboard. Prepaid codes were not eligible.

 

It said on there that prepaid codes wereally eligible. That's why I bought card. It figures that this would happen. I paid for a year. I want what it said was offered. I'm fed up with shady deals. All I want is this made right. I'm about done with xbox/microsoft.

 

The offer never stated that prepaid cards were eligible. The redeem code option is on the purchase screen by default, but for any dashboard promotions you have to make the purchase through the offer (the terms state to purchase gold online).

 

But you didn't purchase it through the promotion. You actually had to click on the tile that had the $15 for one year and complete the purchase through that. That's why the redeem code option didn't have any dollar amounts attached to it.

 

Then why have a redeem code option on there if it wasn't going to work? I was under the impression that it would recognize that it was a year purchase and it would still be redeemed.

 

As I said, they leave it on the purchase screen by default. But for all promotions you have to make the purchase directly through the ad. Otherwise it's sort of like buying an item from one store because it's on sale, but trying to pick it up at a completely
different store.

Well to me that's false advertisement. Obviously I wouldn't go to walmart for a game stop promotion like a guy on the phone yesterday implied. The code is sold by Microsoft in stores. Therefore it should by all rights be honored.

 

It also didn't say that prepaid codes are eligible. It did say that you had to purchase gold online. It did not say anything about redeeming codes.

 

You all will say anything to not honor a promotion won't you. If it didn't say that they were or were not eligible and I still paid for a year I'm still entitled to the promotion

 

The only reason I renewed in the first place is because of that promotion. So I guess I wasted 60 bucks to be *** over.

 

i don't work for Microsoft so it's not up to me to honor a promotion, but support will tell you the same thing.
