I received an offer on my xbox 360 last week, that If I but the xbox one from a retailer before 12/06, and activate it with my gamertag, I will receive 3 free games from microsoft: Forza Motorsport 6, Halo 5 and Gears of War. Have purchased and activated
the xbox one, but did not receive the games.

That offer ended in December of last year I believe. Are you able to get us a picture of the advertisement you're seeing? Generally these offers require you to purchase from a specific retailer.

 

Imgur - I had to upload the photo online, because it wouldn't let me attach.

So the offer appeared on the center homepage tile of my xbox 360 on Saturday 28/05/2016. It was also there the next day, before I handed-in the xbox 360 to a local games store, and bought an Xbox One from Harvey Norman. I had carefully read the terms/conditions
of the offer several times, and it said that the xbox one must be bought from an official retailer. I checked, prior to the purchase, on the official site Where to buy Xbox | Xbox that
Harvey Norman is an official retailer.
I've already bought the xbox one, and activated it with the gamertag that received the offer (). Even if it the offer ended, this would've been a system/staff mistake, so I believe that I shouldn't have to lose the benefits that were promised,
which made me buy the console in the first place.

I saw the EXACT same offer when I purchased mine in 16 November 2015 yet I received no games? I contacted support and they said it would take time to come through!! HOW MUCH LONGER DO I NEED TO WAIT!! Typical FAKE advertising.. Same as this guy above it
was the reason I purchased it then instead of waiting till after Christmas when I'd have more money!! SORT IT OUT!!!

The issue you're describing seems a bit different than Southern Star D's, as your purchase was from last year, and this promotion expires 12/6/2016. I recommend posting a separate thread detailing the exact promotion you took part in, along with any links

That picture helps us a bunch! There's no worries right now about that offer being expired, as it seems you have until 12/06/2016 to activate that console. Do you happen to have the terms and conditions on hand? Normally these game codes are sent out 4-6
weeks after the console is activated (which is how similar promotions have been done).

Also, could you let us know which region you're located in? That will help us a bunch!

Thanks for your reply. My region is Victoria, Australia. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of the terms and conditions before selling my Xbox 360. There was small text at the bottom, about a paragraph or so, but I did read it a few times. As far as
I can remember, it said that the games must redeemed by 18/06/2016, and there are less than 2 weeks left to that date. Mainly I raised the issue because I thought the games would arrive immediately, and because of the short amount of time left till 18/06.
Could you provide me with an indication of when the games will arrive? If it is 4 weeks, I won't be able to get the games. It must be sooner?

Help i need help. I havent reciebed my 3 games that were meant to be sent to my message centre how can i get these. I purchased a new xbox one 2 weeks ago and havent been sent my 3 free games

I have the same situation as the original poster. I received an offer for free downloads of those same free games - Forza 6, Halo 5 and Gears of War - on my XBox 360 dashboard. I purchased an XBox One from JB HiFi (also in Victoria Australia) and activated
it with my gamertag as per the terms and conditions of the offer, but have received no confirmation that the offer will be redeemed.

 

Please note:

I have just copied and pasted from the above post as their circumstances are identical to mine. I still have my xbox 360 and i logged into again today 12/06/16 and the promo is gone from the dashboard now.

I got the exact same offer on the dash of my Xbox 360 So I purchased an Xbox One from Microsoft itself, it was delivered and I activated it with my gamer-tag UFO3 as per terms and cond, the games as I took were to be digital downloads sent to our games
and apps on the Xbox One ........ or were we to be sent download codes via the messages on our Xbox One ? nothing has been sent or arrived.

Surely Xbox knows its own promotions !!! get it fixed people.
