I second this notion. I purchased Doom on May 6th and have yet to receive my download codes. I'm really looking forward to playing the originals, but I'm growing impatient.

Xbox not playing installed game (from disk).

Bethesda recommends not installing the game to hdd. There is no performance advantage, and there is a problem with launching Doom 1 and 2 if you do so. You can read more about it here:

Doom 1 pre-order code from Doom doesn't work but the Doom 2 code did.

I pre-orded Doom and got Doom 1 and Doom 2 for free. I tried the Doom 2 code first and it worked but the Doom 1 code doesn't.

Some people have posted the the region is the error and that's what Microsoft support thought too.

All i get for error is "Sorry, but an unexpected error has occurred. The error has been recorded and we will investigate. Please try to redeem your code later."

What a MASSIVE disappointment!!!

I bought this yesterday and I can indeed confirm that Doom 3 does NOT have a co-op campaign this time. Doom 3 on the xbox had a co-op campaign, but not this time on the 360. What kind of terrible, stupid idea was that!!?? Doom 1 and Doom 2 have a 4 player
co-op campaign. Doom 3 has no co-op. :eek:

Also if you install Doom 3 you can NOT play Doom 1 or Doom 2. You have to uninstall Doom 3 to access Doom 1 and 2.

So anyway I brought this game back to Gamestop for a full refund yesterday. Ended up buying the the Borderlands DLC instead. :tup:

Thats true. If you install it, you cant access Doom 1 or Doom 2. I have a bigger problem or question which I will make a new thread for.
