    To whomever finds this message:

    For as long as I can remember, I've been playing on the Xbox 360. My earliest memories are of playing on it. Unfortunately, my graphics chip melted. So I bought a 360 Elite. However, one of my all time favourite games, Burnout 3: Takedown, doesn't work anymore.
    So we sold it off. Big mistake, and a few years later, we buy another copy. This time, we had the system update and the hard drive, meeting the specifications of backwards compatibility with original Xbox games. It didn't work. So we bought the digital copy
    off the Xbox store and what do you know? It still doesn't work. So my question is this- why is Burnout 3 broken? We have the system update, and the 360 Hard Drive, so why? Why can't I play my favourite Xbox game? If anybody has any sort of advice, please respond.

    A game i bought on Xbox Live Marketplace is no longer available to download

    Hello! A few years ago i have bought a game called Burnout 3: Takedown on Xbox Live Marketplace. I wanted to download it again today, but the game does not exist in Xbox Live Marketplace anymore. The only games i found is Burnout: Paradise and Burnout: Revenge.

    On a site dedicated to Burnout series, i have found a information that: "The full version of Burnout 3: Takedown was previously available for download via the Xbox 360 Marketplace but was taken down in late October 2009." (link: Xbox LIVE)
    If this is true, how can i get Burnout 3 working again, or how can i have my MSP points back?

    I hope someone here will know the answer,

    What specifically do you mean by it doesn't work? Does it boot up? Crashes? Missing Functionality?

    Hi,

    To 'meet the specifications of BC for Xbox games on the 360, your consoles hard drive needs to be an official Microsoft HDD. If bought one from a private seller online it's likey a fake unit.

    Only HDD's from MS will play original games as only these drives contain the files to run the emulator. This applies whether the game is a disc or digital download.

    If the message that appears is related to the installation on HDD, it is likely that you don't have a Microsoft Certified HDD. Make sure that HDD is

    installed correctly     and is certified.

    Can't play my game!!!

    Hi,

    The Xbox Original game Burnout 3 Takedown is not backwards compatible with the Xbox One. It only works on an Xbox 360 console.

    Only Burnout Paradise and Burnout Revenge can be played on an Xbox One console.
