    Bug with the Xbox One S, Will not record what happened


    It's been happening for over 3 months now, and the only solution I see people saying is "well u may be out of space", I know that isn't true because I can constantly record clips without problem, I have over 40gb free internal. If it can record 10+ 12 second clips it should be able to save a minute clip. Every time I press "Record what happened, 1 minute, 30 seconds, 2 mins, it doesn't matter, it only records 12-15 seconds, it varies, but every time it seems to quit capturing right before the part I am trying to record gets captured. Really annoying when trying to save cool game clips. I'll hit 5 minutes and it'll only save the 12 seconds before any action even happens. I checked my system settings multiple times and the capture is set to 5 mins by default on the capture button on my controller, but I also use the xbox menu to capture certain lengths and neither work.

    Honestly, I don't know what to say at this point. I've seen issue come up several times over the past few months, and no one seems to have a definitive solution. Like you already mentioned, people have offered the basic troubleshooting steps; however, it
    doesn't seem to fix the problem.

    For some, a hard reset will make it go away for a bit, but eventually comes back.

    I can only assume it's some kind of bug that needs to be addressed.

    Two questions though, do you have an Xbox One X and are you enrolled in the Insider program?

    It is not the console because it happened with my old Xbox one and is still happening with my new Xbox one S. It could be something up with Microsoft or something else happening with the friends list like a bug.

    The clip I recorded was recorded through the “record what happened” feature, using no external hardware. And between clips, no settings were changed
