    Bug with Migrating Mojang account


    When I open the MC launcher it says that I need to buy the full game. I already had an account with Mojang but today when I migrated my Mojang account to my existing Microsoft account its not letting me play the full game. Did my account get deleted? Do I need to buy another account to play Minecraft again? If not, how can I get my account back?

    Welcome to the community. How are you?

    Follow these steps and see if it helps you.

    You have hit the button to go back to the accounts page. But then, don't click on your existing account that you want to sign into or you will just get back into the same problem loop that won't let you sign in. You have to add a new account. It is counterintuitive because you are not actually setting up a new account. But once you click to add a new account you can choose to sign in with your Microsoft account in the Launcher. Once you do that, it will automatically use the Microsoft account to log you in from the Launcher.

    Changed Password as part of Migration on Minecraft, successfully migrated. Password will not work. Can NOT get verification code using the EMAIL THAT IS ON THE ACCOUNT.

    Might be the launcher indeed mate, some bug with it for some reason. Try to report this to Mojang mate, they could check the migration for you.

    Hello, I hope you are well.

    Please try these steps.

    If your Mojang account has been migrated to Microsoft, you do not need to purchase the game again. If you are being prompted to do so, it is either because the migration process did not complete correctly or, more likely, you are logged into a different Microsoft account than the one you used for the migration.

    What to do:

    1. Check which Microsoft account you are logged into:

    Make sure you are using the same Microsoft account that was used to migrate your Mojang account. If you do not remember which one it is, contact Microsoft support to retrieve the email address you used for the migration.

    2. Check if the migration was completed:

    Access your Mojang account profile on the Mojang website and check if the migration was completed. If not, try starting the migration process again.

    3. Contact Mojang Support:

    If the issue persists, contact Mojang Support via the Mojang Support website, providing your purchase receipt and explaining the situation.

    4. Check Microsoft accounts:

    Make sure you are not using a different Microsoft account than the one you used for the migration

    The migration of Mojang accounts has now been completed. It is no longer possible to migrate unmigrated accounts or make the move. That is why it says "Mojang account not eligible".
