Bug Report - Random Lag/Latency/Ping Spikes

There is an issue on the preview and current version for the Xbox One. When playing an online game the ping would all of the sudden jump to the point where the game is unplayable. I have contacted Xbox Support twice, I also have tried factory resetting
which did not fix the issue. I set my Xbox One as a DMZ, problem is still there. I bought a new router, did not fixed it. I had my ISP come over, said everything is running the best that it should. My download speed is 50mbps as well as my upload speed. 0%
packet loss. 85ms for the latency. During the "lag spikes" the ping can range from 700 to 2000ms, this is most prevalent in BO3, Battlefront, and Ark. I have also tried contacting the game manufacturers, they told me to port forward, which was pretty much
useless when I already had DMZ running. I tested this on two different Xboxs. I hope that the Xbox team can get this properly addressed.

Random Ping spikes

Recently whilst playing fortnite every 3-4 minutes my ping will jump from 40-50ish to 1000+ for aboout a 10 second period deeming me essentially useless. Just looking for some help to see if it may be a problem with my system itself or something with my
connection perhaps. Any help would be much appreciated thanks. I should add that i wanted to see if this was a problem with my connection so i observed my brother playing a couple games of fortntie on his ps4 and this hadn't happened a single time for him.

ping=latency=delay=or in gamer terms LAG!! lol

 

Plug the xbox straight into the modem without the router and see if it still does it...

 

Still does, keep in mind that this has nothing to do with my internet setup, it's an Xbox One software issue.

 

Since you seem to be the only one having this issue it is most likely caused by your setup or your ISP

 

I am having a similar issue. JUST SUDDENLY HAPPENED ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO. My ISP has been to my house twice and they have done everything they can. All my other devices work perfectly. I have 50 mb internet. I cannot play any online games because I lag out
of the game. When I run network details, it says my packet loss is 5%, Latency at 150 - 300, and my download speed never breaks 6 or 7 mb. I have done everything that you have done. NOTHING IS WORKING!

 

I hate to leave this post unanswered, so I'll answer it now!

The problem was that my router at the time did not support multiple consoles.

So I went ahead and got one that did!

I bought the Nighthawk R7000.
