Bug in Campus Grinder on Gears of War Ultimate Edition

I got past killing the seeder after having to split up and after I raise to gate to continue, I get notified that Cole keeps getting downed and revived. I continued further hoping it would teleport him forward and fix the issue but the textures and terrain
weren’t fully loaded in and I was unable to snap into cover.

When I went to the Xbox home to try restarting the game I was told to delete local save data to fix an issue. I did this and to be safe I used the level select instead of continuing and took the lower path.

Again I had an issue after the gate was opened for me but Baird took cover in an arch beside the gate and became unresponsive. I tried to progress again but still had low res textures and partially rendered environments.

This time when I tried restarting the game the console became unresponsive and when I tried to shut it down the power button kept fading in and out until I gave up and unplugged it.

Don't think it's an issue with the console as no other game has run into problems.

Console is the standard Xbox One and ventilation + weather suggests heat isn’t a factor.

Edit:

I've tried power cycling the console, deleting the local save data, and re-installing the game with no effect.

I took 4 screenshots in game but this is the only one that actually saved.

I suggest you try power cycling your console to see if the issue you are having goes away.

In a game of horde on 4 now so I'll try when it's over.

 

It definitely looks to be the game triggering an error with the console.

Tried power cycling and started running a capture to better show the bug if it came up again and doing so froze the Xbox on a black screen once I reached an unrendered area.
