BT Home Hub (Modems/Gateways): 2 Xbox ones with open nat not possible?
I had the same problem with two xbox ones in my house, I would also lose connection daily. Enabling Ipv6 has been the only solution I'v found, both consoles now have open nats and I haven't been signed out yet. I guess if you could get another provider that
supports ipv6 would be your only solution.

    :)

    Router capable of open NAT?

My BT home hub with Infinity is fine with the 360 and xbox one all open nat. I used settings on the bt page to open them up and leave them set at that.

    Moderate Nat...

Some routers only allow one device to have open NAT settings If you have an Xbox 360 that has open NAT settings you have to remove it and then set the Xbox One as your device for open NAT.

I have a BT home hub 3.0 and doing this gave me open NAT on my Xbox One.

Hi Bradster900, I am sorry that you are experiencing issues when trying to get a open NAT while using your Xbox Ones and I will try and resolve your issue BT Home Hub: 2 Xbox ones with open nat not possible? :)

1)So first you will need to go to a PC or a mobile device that has a web browser and you need to go to
http://192.168.1.254 with is your BT Home Hubs personal site.

    2) next, you need to click on Advanced Settings and enter your Admin password that should be on the card on the back of your BT Hub box.

    3) After that is entered, you want to click 'Continue to Advanced Settings' if that comes up then when it loads, click on 'Firewall' and click 'DMZ'

    4) then, click the circle next to Enable, then in the box below, you want to find your Xbox one (which is labelled by your console name, which is XboxOne by default) then click 'Apply'

    5) Now, you should be able to get a Open NAT type while using your Xbox One BT Home Hub: 2 Xbox ones with open nat not possible? :)

I hope this worked and if it didn't, reply back and I will reply as soon as I can

I tried this and it turned my NAT type to strict so essentially made it worse.

    Hi

I think I have same problem. I can party chat on xboxone no.1 downstairs, but cant party chat on xbox one no.2 upstairs.

BT home hub is IPV4 (IPV6 not available at this time with my BT provider).

NAT type for both is moderate.

When I apply the DMZ setting for one of the Xboxs its NAT type goes to unavailable.

I don't seem to be able to find a fix.

Looks like BT hub doesn't support two xbox party chat at once.

Moderate Nat on Xbox One ?

Taidara's guide on page 2 worked for me with the BT home hub 4.

URL for home hub is http://bthomehub.home

-turned off smart setup in ADV settings | home network | smart setup on hub

    - added Xbox one to dmz ADV settings | Firewall | DMZ

    - turned bthub4 off for 10 seconds and Xbox one.

    - turned on bthub4

    - turned on Xbox one

    NAT now open

    Regards

Is Microsoft addressing the strict nat issue?

I am in the UK with BT (Router BT hub 2).

3 Xbox 360's and the Xbone have "open" NAT by default.

No port forwarding or DMZ just PnP.

Two XBOs connected through a BT Home Hub 5

The BT home hub 5's are not fit for purpose.

The UPnP on them is broken. To start with it doesn't have multi-console support. So own more than one xbox and you will have problems.

Secondly it is not compatible with any game made by activision on xbox one, ps3 or ps4.

Games by activision on those consoles use demonware port mapping via UPnP to open the correct ports for COD.

But the homehub 5 totally ignores these UPnP requests meaning you get moderate or strict NATs in any activision game.

The only way to get an open NAT in modern warfare using the home hub 5 is to forward UDP port 3076 to your xbox one.

But as you own 2 xbox ones you will only be able to get an open NAT on one of the consoles because it's impossible to forward the same port to 2 different devices at the same time.

Unfortunately the only way you are going to get round this is to throw the BT home hub 5 in the bin and buy a decent router that has confirmed multi-console support. But if you are with BT infinity this would complicate things as most decent routers don't
have built in VDSL modems which would be needed for infinity.
