BSOD, freezes and crashes on Gears 5

First of all, I tried everything possible. And just to clarify this issues only happen on Gears 5 (and also Gears of War 4 but whatever)

I have the latest Windows 10 compilation, Drivers such like Nvidia 436.30 at the time I wrote this post, BIOS motherboard, etc.

Some things I did:

- CPU and GPU temps are fine, never above 60 ° C while playing.

- I didn't install Ultra HD textures (using that doesn't make difference)

- Game on HDD or SSD doesn't make difference.

- Windows, Drivers and BIOS up to date.

- Played with stock/OC settings. GPU stock settings too.

- Rolled back to previous Nvidia driver, same issues.

- Disabled flow control guard on Windows defender.

- Vsync on/off

- 20 hours of memtest86, 0 errors.

- 2 hours of Aida64 stress test, 0 errors.

System Specs:

OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 Bits May 2019 Update

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.7 GHz

Cooler: ARCTIC - Freezer Xtreme Rev.2

SSD: ADATA Ultimate SU650 120 GB

HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM006 2TB

RAM: G.Skill Flare x 3200 MHz CL14

Motherboard: Asus TUF B350M-PLUS GAMING

Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 Windforce OC 2X rev. 1.0

PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G3 80 Plus Gold 220-G3-0650-Y1

Fan Case: 2x COUGAR CF-D12HB R 1200 RPM, 2x Corsair ML pro 120 mm

I posted It on Gears forums and also here on Answers Microsoft and I was ignored by the responsibles who made t he videogame.

And this is what BlueScreenViewer shows me when the game got BSOD and It generated the minidump file and the MEMORY.DMP (The BSOD happened today for the first time, and It won't be the last)

Edit: Today September 26, 2019, I got the following error:

After that the entire system froze a few seconds, I couldn't open task manager until the game closed.

Isn't the first time I have this issue, and no, my GPU isn't faulty. I tested It with Furmark, Unigine Heaven, VideoCardStabilityTestSetup, etc. without problems.

I repeat, the rest of games I own don't have this serious issues. Only Gears 5 and Gears of War 4.

This is how Microsoft treat to users. Very bad.

This actually quite difficult to diagnose. Your hardware seems fine, other than a possible issue with your hard drive.

I can only suggest trying a re-install on a different hard drive or re-install your OS.

There are no known current issues you describe for Gears 4 and 5. I have these games and don't have these issues on my PC.

I'm not a Microsoft employee, I'm just trying to help a fellow PC gamer.

This proves the lack of costumer support. Is sad my favorite franchise over the rest is in hands of this people.

Forgot to mention each time I install new driver, uninstall the previous one with DDU, I'm not noob about this and I have some knowledge. And as I said above, only Gears 5 and Gears of War 4 has those issues. Did you read It? I think not.

My RAM are fine, 20 hours of memtest86, 8 passes two times, without errors.

DId you watch the videos posted above? It happens randomly, while playing 5 or 15 minutes, or even at the start of main menu. Or as It happened me today while playing a few minutes the campaign. Those sites never helped me, and actually I posted It there:

And I was ignored by Microsoft, only an advisor replied me with an obvious and useless answer, sorry being rude but It seems nobody read carefuly my concern.The Coalition on Gears forums never replied me, also I filled the form on Gears 5 support website:

Again, nothing helped me. Only Nvidia replied me an e-mail I sent them, they told me "QA has now reproduced this problem and has the required logs. Engineering is investigating the root cause." But I don't think they really
care to fix It, TC, Microsoft and Nvidia never solved the same issues on Gears of War 4.

And the BSOD happened me today, was the first time with Gears 5. The previous issues were only freezes and crashes. The game didn't generated log event files or something similar to detect what happened.

Your BSOD is an IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. This Windows Stop error code can be caused by one or more of the following:

1: Corrupt system files

2: Incompatible device drivers
3: Faulty hardware - (RAM, Hard drives)
4: Incorrect software installation

5: A downgraded Windows installation

The most common 2 from this list - especially where games are concerned - are faulty drivers or (gulp!) faulty hardware. Faulty hardware can be a failing hard drive or system RAM.

Does it always crash in one place? Can you play from the start fine and then only crash you reach that section of the game or does it crash randomly?

If you can play other games fine, and generally use the PC for other things it's unlikely to be faulty RAM. If you had faulty RAM, every game would crash with a IRQL BSOD

If you rolled back your driver, there may be old files left behind from this and previous Nvidia driver installs. I recommend you download and run DDU to
remove everything to do with your GPU drivers. When its done, install 436.30 again.
