Broken Controller after less than nine months - not covered by any warranty

Purchased an Official Xbox Wireless Controller - Ocean Shadow Edition back at the end of March. Less than 9 months later, it looks like this is already looking like it needs to be replaced with the analogue sticks no longer centering when returning to the
rest position.

After 30 minutes in Online chat, I am met with the response that this accessory only has a 90 day warranty period. Under normal circumstances I would move on (apart from the £50 cost) however to also be told in the same chat that a controller within an
console bundle gets a one year warranty stings somewhat.

In effect we are looking at two different warranty standards for the same official controller? Why is this Microsoft? The products are in essence the same, with the only difference being that one was purchased with a console and the other why not.

Not sure why I should be looking to take another controller apart to try and resolve the situation when a controller in a bundle would still be covered.

Hey Floss, how old is your HDD? If it was purchased less than three months ago, it may still be covered under the 90-day accessory warranty.

 

Elite Controller moves from alone, losing rubber, key broken

Hello. my contoller is broken and still in warranty. but im not able to register this controller alone and when i add the serial number than it allows me to order parts but not to send my broken controller for repair.

for sure my xbox one ios out of service but not my 10 month old controller.... please help me...... 150 euro controller 10 month and more than 3 thinks are broken... ... im speechless.....
