  1. Brightness issue Fallout 4

    Hi all!

I have been having an issue with the brightness of my Fallout 4 game. during gameplay, the brightness keeps adjusting ever couple of seconds. I have checked all options on my TV, and even used another TV. Furthermore, I have reinstalled the game and reset
my XBOX. Despite all this, the probem persists. I read that this is an issue exclusive to XBOX preview members. Does anyone know a fix or whether this will be fixed in an update?

    Kind regards

    :)

  2. Help: Preview Program Brightness Problem

I don't know where to post this since I think they got rid of the Preview Forum.

On the 8th I downloaded the latest preview update, and now my games and apps experience this weird switch in brightness. Fallout 4 is the worst one. Going into a dark area makes the game have normal brightness, but going somewhere well lit makes the brightness
go WAY up to the point it's nearly unplayable.

I've noticed smaller shifts in brightness in Netflix and Shadow or Mordor as well. I'm not the only one experiencing this problem either. There are a couple more in the Bethesda Fallout 4 forums as well.

I for real can't stand to play my games right now because of this. If I could get some kind of official response that Microsoft is aware of this problem that'd be amazing (but I doubt that'll happen).

    Brightness issue Fallout 4

You are right there is an ongoing issue with the Fallout 4 in game contrast. There was a solution for the PC version by changing the data in the directory file yet the same cannot be done with the console. Lets hope a new patch from Bethesda will solve this
    issue!

  5. This issue is not something Bethesda can fix! This issue was strictly caused by the Xbox One preview program recent update. From what I have read we won't be getting another update until mid July...does this mean Microsoft is going to make all of the members
of the Xbox One Preview Program wait another month before we see a fix? I really urge moderators and everyone who is important to read this and give us an ETA on a fix. I have already submitted an official bug report and sent a video as proof of the bug/glitch.
I have let my gold membership expire, as I refuse to pay for a half working system! Please fix this guys, you created a near game breaking bug on one of my favorite games. The brightness flicker messes with my eyes and I have heard some reports of it causing
headaches. If we receive no word on how this is going to be corrected soon, I will be forced to utilize social media and put it out there for everyone to see. PLEASE FIX THIS BUG MICROSOFT!

  7. I FIXED IT! The fix that works for me is: Go to Xbox One Dashboard>settings>Display and Sound>Video Output>Color Space

Change this option to PC RGB This will fix the screen brightness flicker that has been annoying the crap out of everyone! NOTICE: Some displays may not support this setting, sorry for that, I have no other fix; this is just what worked for me.

  9. Ser Bullfrog's fix worked for me! As mentioned before, some TV's may not work in PC RGB mode. Also, everything is slightly darker. This is mentioned when you turn on PC RGB. However, personally I think Fallout 4 look a little better for it. Hope this works
for anyone else having this problem. And thank you very much Ser Bullfrog!

  11. Hey there Panda Kittyy,

Be sure to try the above steps mentioned by Ser Bullfrog and see if they help out. If not and you are in the Xbox One preview program. You'll want to create a new post in the preview forums here so the teams can take a closer look.

    Cheers!
