Bright House Network: Download speed doesn't match speed test result

So it seems that downloading games on your new console is taking longer than expected. Would you mind letting us know what the download speeds show in the download queue?

Also go ahead and go to your Network Settings and run the network troubleshooting tests listed on the right and also select the detailed network statistics test to see if the speeds are matching up to the correct amount.

Let us know the results of the tests.

Every thing went fine when I testes my xbox live connection.

Here are my results for my network speed test.

Ping:42ms

Download speed:26.93mbps

Upload speed:4.80mbps

Hello! I'm guessing you're using a wireless connection?

It sounds like there is an issue with your bandwidth... First, you should troubleshoot your network connection speed by:

1. Go to system settings

2. Go to the General Settings

3. Then go to Network Setting and click on "Test Network Speed & Statistics"

This will run a test and give you information about: Download speed, Upload speed, and Ping

(make sure to write down your test results for all 3)

The minimum download speed is: 3 Mbps

The minimum upload speed is: 0.5 Mbps

The minimum ping speed is: 150 milliseconds

Hi I have tried to download Roblox but it won't let me install, no error message just nothing happens. Done network tests results are download speed 21.15mbps upload speed 8.49mbps.

the reason the download is lower on the X1 vs a speed test site is most likely because a speed test site goes to the closest server for more accurate results, but on the X1 you're connecting to to a Xbox server.... somewhere.

if you go to a speed test site that lets you choose the server, run a test to a server closest to you, then run a test to furthest server, you'll see a big difference in speeds and ping times.

there is a MS server farm not 10 miles from my house that i know houses some Xbox Live servers, and my speed tests come out at 55x6mbps almost every test, and i have a 50x5mbps plan.
