BREAKING NEWS! DC Universe Online Launches TODAY (Friday, April 29, 2016) On The Xbox One!

Anyone playing this? I started a few nights ago and have enjoyed the early bits, but now at only level 11, and having joined a "League", I am finding the poor communication system very limiting (unless I am missing something and happy to be taught)

1. The chat box - The virtual keyboard completely obscures a third of the screen so you cant see the existing chat or your own characxter if you are being attacked etc

2. Using the virtual keyboard at any time other than when in a safe location just doesnt seem feasible due to how long it takes (me) to select the letters/words

3. No one seems to be using chat even though the screen tells me 9 members of my league are in the "league" voice chat room

4. Either no one can hear me, or are not responding when I chat. Have tested the mic and voice settings in the option and it tells me all is well my side

Given these communication problems, how can people possibly do the larger instances where communciation is important?

Just as boring as it was on the PS3 4 or 5 years ago.

It's alright for about half an hour but that's it.

Have any of you actually played the game or just going on one about what others have said?

The first DLC doesn't actually kick in until your level 30 and a higher combat rating.

As for powers, yes if you want to run around setting things on fire or become a Green Lantern type then yes you will need to purchase the powersets but the first DLC includes the Light stuff.

If you want to become a batman(minus the BvS loot bag)/superman/green arrow character then the powersets which came with the game should be sufficient.

Free to play games always need to gain money from somewhere so charging for DLC is one way. With DCUO you can purchase membership which at the most costs £75 for the year (you pay monthly) and gives you access to all the DLC for free. This is probs the cheapest
option for people who love to make ALTs.

remember when you could play games without spending hundreds of $ on them?

Pass downloaded and try to play Friday. I not waiting an hour in a queue. Could not connect Saturday or Sunday so I deleted it.
