    Break reminder doesn't work on boot


    The break reminder function on my Series X hasn't functioned correctly for some time.

    The description in settings > preferences states:


    The timer starts counting when you sign in or change the setting, but only displays the notification when you're playing a game
    ​

    My understanding of this is that the break reminder should work when the console starts from cold (energy saver mode) which is set to auto sign-in my account. This is how it worked when I got the console and created my gamertag at the start of the year.

    What I am finding is that the break reminder only works immediately after changing the time interval setting (e.g 30 minutes to 60 minutes then back again) but once the console has been shutdown/rebooted this preference is ignored.

    Having to change this every time I boot the console is really annoying.

    I have reported this as a problem through the console but received no feedback or acknowledgement.

    OS version is 10.0.22000.3055

    Does anyone else have this issue?

    This is a new game that's coming out August 27th. This game almost reminds me of Quantum Break...
    They are using the same game engine as Quantum Break, so it's not suprising that it does remind you of the game. As long as the game is as good as Quantum Break, then I will be happy to play it.

    Likely for health and safety reasons. Its not good playing hours upon hours without a break. Thats why schools and work places have breaks. Microsoft is like big brother or like your parents reminding you you need to take a break. Theres even legal requirements
    that work places offer breaks and for there to be beeaks in school too. Health and safety. Fatigue can lead to safety concerns.

    No one is going to like me for this, but the Xbox looks the most like a VCR to me. It doesn't seem very attractive, though I don't buy consoles for that. PS4 has a nice shape to it, and it reminds me of the PS2 (with a blue stripe to boot).
