Brand new Xbox Series X extremely snow internet speeds

Just bought a Series X today and I'm experiencing extremely slow download speeds between 30mps and 90 mbps with it staying closer to 30 to 40 most of the time. This is with a wired connection, wifi is a little bit worse. I tried multiple ethernet cables, cat6 and cat8 with the same results. My old one X downloaded over 200mbps on average and other devices are testing at over 1000mbps.

Xbox server status isn't showing any issues so I'm wondering if I got a defective unit or if microsoft just can't launch hardware that works right out of the box and requires me to contact my isp just to play a game.

    :)

Hi Matt, my name is Rodrigo. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

I am sorry to hear that.

    Please, change your connection DNS.

    Follow these steps:

Go to Profile and System > Settings

In the Settings menu, select General > Network settings.

Select the network you're connected to, then select Advanced settings > Manual

On the DNS field, input these:

    Primary: 8.8.8.8

    Secondary: 8.8.4.4

    Save settings.

If it still does not work, please, if you know how to do it, make a Wi-Fi hotspot router on your phone and connect to it.

That way we can isolate the issue, by testing another internet connection, using your mobile data plan.

Let me know if it works!

XBOX Series X input lag and latency

I'm having the exact same issue with 2K23.... I got a brand new router and upgraded my internet speed and my router has under 20ms latency... Yet my series x bounces between 70-100ms and it KILLS ME in 2K23

    New Xbox?

Yeah, there are already 2 brand new consoles the Xbox series X and the Xbox Series S. I think that the new Xbox series X is amazing, but I expect it will be along time before a new console is develpoped.
