Brand new Xbox One S stuck on 'Update'

Installed new Xbox one s and it decided to do an update which either fails or hangs and I cannot get to settings or anything to reset.

Is this a bandwidth issue? Or could it be something else?

Error code doesn't help as I cannot get to setting to reset which is all it suggests.

Any help would be amazing please!

Hi,

When the console freezes , please press and HOLD 10 sec the powerbutton of the console, wait 30 sec, restart.

I have the same problem. Following the steps mentioned in help section didnt change anything. Mine is a brand new xbox one S. After a couple of days its just stuck at 640x480.

Checking in. Day 2 my brand new xbox one S still wont make it past step 3 of the startup. Once it tries to update i get the error code...

Sri Jaymo, he is on a brand new Xbox One so he should not affected by the preview issue.

The other guys are stuck in the initial update process, where the OSUDT is not recommended.

Meanwhile the services should be partially back, as I already have reports on now again working initial updates.
