Brand new Xbox One S, squeaky fan

That does not sound normal at all.

I’ve encountered something similar on a different device in the past, but the problem naturally resolved itself after a total shutdown and reboot.

I don’t know if it was a hard piece of dust or what, but if the problem persists I would consider exchange or repair because the fans should not be squeaking.

Thanks, i tried turning it off, and back on a few times, and i let it run for about 30 minutes after all updates were completed. The fan continued to run at high speed, and kept the squeaky cricket sounds going as well. I will try and exchange it tomorrow.

Just return it back to the store so you can either get a new console or your money back...rather than waiting for MS to fix it for ya....if you got it at one of your local stores.
