Brand new Xbox, first time trying to log in to Microsoft account and screen goes black.

It could be a defect, yes it could come with a factory defect or even the transport from the stock to the store, or it could be from the network, test route a mobile network and see if it works.

Having the same issues. If this doesn't get fixed soon I'm dropping my account with Microsoft. I get one day to game and this happens?!?!? This is very sad. Every time I turn on my console it won't let me go to the menu screen, then when I try to log on
to a game the screen goes black. This better be fixed soon.

I try to power cycle it as my first step every time this happens, still boots to green screen and then goes black.

Based on your feedback, your computer's Windows 11 screen goes black when logging into Xbox.

I suggest you first check for any issues with your graphics card.

You can uninstall the graphics card driver, then download the driver again from the official website.

You can also try creating a new account to see if the black screen issue persists.

Go to "Start" > "Settings" > "Accounts," then select "Family & other users." (In some versions of Windows, you'll see "Other users.")

Next to "Add someone else to this PC," select "Add account."

Choose "I don't have this person's sign-in information," then on the next page select "Add a user without a Microsoft account."

Enter a username, password, and password hint, or choose security questions, then select "Next."

Then check if the black screen issue still occurs.

I'm guessing the posters first language isn't English. I suspect the xbox starts up shows an error and the screen goes black.

Try leaving the xbox at the black screen and powered on for around an hour or so and it may hopefully boot up fully.
