    Brand new XB1 controller will not sync.


    I just received my new xbox one controller from the design lab. It will not sync to my xbox. I have tried the following.

    • Connected straight to console with USB cable (the controller works, but when I unplug it goes back to not synced).
    • Updated the controller's firmware (no update was available)
    • Restarted console.
    • Hard reset the console.
    • Tried my old controller (it syncs fine)
    Anyone have any advice?

    It is possible the console was not getting enough power for all components to work correctly from the power strip.

    The controller synced and is working fine now.

    Microsoft needs to give you a raise.

    Hello Squeechums,

    Sorry for the issue with your controller not syncing. This is random, but by chance you have the console plugged into a power strip or ext. cord? If so plug directly into a wall outlet and see if able to sync the controller then.
