    Brand new controller won't turn on


    Hi,

    I purchased an Xbox Pulse Red 1914 controller today.

    I plugged it in to my PC, downloaded the Xbox Accessories app, and updated the firmware to 5.13.3143.0

    I then inserted the batteries and pressed the Xbox button to turn it on.

    It did not turn on.

    I tried several pairs of batteries, and the controller won't turn on.

    It is still recognized when I plug it into my PC using a USB-C cable, and the power button works then. But it does not turn on otherwise.

    I do not have a console, only a PC.

    Unfortunately I never tried turning it on before updating the firmware....

    Should I return it to the shop where I bought it?
