Bought Rise of Iron, but locked out

Bought Rise of Iron

I am level 40 - long time player

There is a padlock on the mountain and I am not allowed to play, seems to say I need better gear. Not sure what that means since there was no listing of requirements other than level 40 - which they give you.

Save me.

Ris of Iron locked

Bought Rise of Iron. Level 40.

Mountain locked. Can't do anything at all. Says I need better gear, but only requirement for play was being level 40. Maybe a bug? Any solution?

Can't buy Destiny: The Rise of Iron

Im having the same problem.. I went to gamestop and bought Rise of iron for $30 and instead of getting rise of iron it gave me $30...??

If it says you need better gear then you'll need to complete other missions to get better gear. The majority of Rise of Iron is limited to 320 and up. Nightfalls are 380 and Siva Hard Strikes are 350 light.

If your light is lower than that then it will be impossible for you to complete the Rise of Iron tasks at the moment.

Before you gain access to the Iron Temple. There is a chain of quests that you must complete leading to a battle at the Temple itself with an altered version of Sepiks. Once you progress through three or 4 missions into ROI. You should gain access to
the new social space. The new social space has no light requirement provided you are high enough to complete the missions to open the mountain. If you need any help. Feel free to get at me and I will help in any way possible. GT: PureBloodDemo

I game share and want to pre order Rise of iron. But my game share partner originally bought Destiny and it is not letting me buy rise of iron for us. Is this because we game share and he bought Destiny? We do have all of the other DLC .

Hi all,

In order to purchase Destiny: Rise of Iron you must make sure your account which is trying to purchase Rise of Iron owns Destiny: The Taken King. That is required to be able to purchase Rise of Iron.

Now if you have finished that step then you have a few methods of which you can buy the DLC:

1. You can sign into your account via this link here:
www.microsoft.com/.../c3tbg0pc3fc9 and buy the DLC

Or

2. Launch your game and under the director select the icon for Rise of Iron and select purchase and try to purchase the DLC.

Now you also could try searing the Store on your Xbox One for "Destiny: Rise of Iron" but if you do make sure it says "Pre-Order" otherwise you will run into the issue of it stating it can only be bought in a bundle.
