Bought Cuphead from Xbox webpage, unable to install on Xbox One

I purchased Cuphead from the Xbox One webpage store while I was at work today. When I got home I saw that the game had not installed so I went to the Updates section of my Xbox One to install it from there. It was not present. I entered into the Xbox store
from my Xbox One, went to the Cuphead section, and was able to click on Install from there. Nothing happened. I went back to my Updates section and saw Cuphead located in there now with an Install button. I clicked on it and still nothing happened. I went
to my home PC to see if I could install it from there but clicking on the 'Install to my Xbox One' did nothing. Is there an issue with buy this game from the webpage on a PC and then trying to install it on your home Xbox One? What actions can I take to start
playing this game soon?

bought cuphead for Xbox one. i bought an Xbox one x and backed up my settings, games on my 2TB external hard drive just like the help page said to all my other games work fine except cuphead. it says to either put in the game disk or purchase it from the
Microsoft Store. Has anyone else run into this problem? help please and thank you.

 

CUPHEAD - Play Anywhere installs on XBOX ONE - Not on Windows 10 PC

I purchased Cuphead with play anywhere.

I can install on my XBOX ONE. In the Microsoft store on my pc, I can click the install button, I get to choose the drive to install, then nothing happens. The hard drives have plenty of storage available

 

I'm having this exact same problem. I just purchased Cuphead through Xbox live and the game doesn't install. If I find it in my ready to install list and go to manage game to install it gives me error 0x8000ffff every time. I've restarted countless times
and nothing is helping. I hope there's a solution soon.

 

Following as I'm having the exact same issue.I have already made sure everything was updated for the XBOne.Still nada.Incidently I also cannot install/download any other games either.

 

I'm having the same exact issue. Tried on both my Xbox One and PC and the install button does absolutely nothing. Tried to install the Forza 7 demo to see if it was an issue with the service, and that also did the same thing. Maybe Microsoft's download service
is messed up right now.

 

I'm having same issue as you guys. Dont call xbox I've been on hold for 30mins. I also noticed I randomly had a xbox store update. That was going slow and didn't finish an update. Now my search bar on xbox one is all weird looking. No clue but not happy
about this.

 

How I fixed my issue:

For everyone having the same issue as me, I was just able to install it. What I did was shut down the Xbox One and then unplug the power cord from the back of the Xbox One. I waited about 15 seconds, plugged the power cord back in, started up the Xbox One,
went to the Ready For Install section for games, clicked on the Install button for Cuphead, and it finally started installing. The reason I unplugged the console was to force it to do a hard reboot which appears to work. I'd suggest you guys trying the same
and I hope it works out well for you too.

 

Does Microsoft do anything right?
