Bought and downloaded original Destroy All Humans on xbox360. But it won't play

Awhile back I bought and downloaded the Xbox original Destroy All Humans for my Xbox360, but it won't let me play it. Could it be my hard drive? All other games I have bought and downloaded play just fine. I do not have an officially licensed Microsoft
hard drive, but when I go to setting, it does say Microsoft next to the hard drive. Everything I try to play the game, it tells me that I need to re-download the game.

Hello Mark,

As stated above, you will need an official Xbox 360 hard drive in order to play original Xbox titles on the Xbox 360. You can find this written on this support article, along with what other original Xbox 360 titles you can play on 360: Play

Yes, the hard drive would be the reason. In order for backwards compatibility to work, an official MS brand 360 hard drive is required due to system files on the drive. Knock offs or other drives will not work with them.

where? I have tried tossing up ideas for backwards compatible stuff but they always get deleted due to not being relative in games and apps I suppose. Granted the games I asked for did become backwards compatible like AvP and Castlevania Lords of Shadow.

sweet thanks for the hopeful assistance now I just need to check out other favorite game developers. I wonder if I can find the people that made Predator concrete jungle?

alas it is a shame as there where many great titles on both original xbox and the 360 but at least the catalog is always expanding
