Bought an "Official" Xbox compatible Thrustmaster VG for Battlefield and it doesnt work.

One of my biggest frustrations with consoles has always been flying. Trying to fly with a controller vs. a flight stick is counter-immersive. So when I saw the Thrustmaster VG I decided to purchase it for games like Battlefield, Elite (if I ever decide to
get the Xbox version), and other games that include flying.

The Thrustmaster is definitely recognized by the Xbox. I can navigate the menus, etc... As soon as I am in Battle field 1, nothing. I even tried disconnecting the regular xbox controller in case there was a conflict.

What do I need to do to get my Thrustmaster VG to work in Battlefield 1?

steering wheel compatibility

The version you are using is the old RW Ferrari 458 Racing Wheel that is compatible with xbox 360 and not compatible with xbox one.

The new version Thrustmaster VG Ferrari 458 Spider Racing Wheel is compatible with Xbox One.

Bought the game and now find out it is not compatible with our Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 steering wheel - correct? I bought that wheel with the understanding it was for xbox one games

 

Hi! Unfortunately I have no experiences with this device myself so I can only guess. Have you looked online for information if these games support the Thrustmaster VG? The developers would have to implement such a feature so that not all games that include
flying will support it.

 

The best place to start would probably be The Thrustmaster support site at:
http://www.thrustmaster.com/en_US/support

It currently only lists 4 games as being directly supported:

AIR MISSIONS: HIND – Xbox One™ (*)

- ELITE DANGEROUS – Xbox One™ (*)

- FLYING TIGERS: Shadows Over China (*)

- THE CREW™ 2 – Xbox One™(*)

But if you contact them directly, you may be able to get it working how you would like.
