Bought A Microsoft Point Card. Can't Redeem.

So, I bought a Microsoft Point card recently, and when I went to scratch off the code, the first 4 letters became unreadable.

I took the card to the store I bought it from and they said they couldn't replace it.

Credit card info?! It's a gift card

I bought a Microsoft gift card worth 4000 points but when I tried to redeem it it is asking me for credit card info is there a way to redeem it without card info!

Sorry to hear that your currency card was damaged. It is true that when a card has been scratched off the retailer will not refund it or replace it, and the same goes for Microsoft itself. They do not replace damaged pre paid cads of any type, especially
if it was not purchased directly from them.

How can I redeem the Microsoft Points gift cards now?

If you go to that page you linked to, it says at the bottom:

"We’ll continue to accept purchased Microsoft Points Cards and codes
until further notice"

[Emphasis by me]

So if I remember correctly, it was announced at some time that Point codes had to be redeemed until March or April 2015, after which you can't redeem them anymore.

So unfortunately, you can't redeem your point codes nowadays.

Microsoft Points cards work the exact same way as Xbox Live Gift Cards. A 1400 Points card bought for $20 will put $20 in your Microsoft Account for example.

What happens to Microsoft Points cards?

Microsoft Points cards you purchase in retail stores will continue to be redeemable on your console and Xbox.com until further notice. Microsoft has no plans to discontinue acceptance of previously purchased Microsoft Points cards and codes. Xbox gift cards
will be available for purchase in retail stores and through online retailers starting in late 2013. Availability of Microsoft Points cards varies by region.

Call the place where you bought it or if its Online just contact Microsoft on Xbox Support to tell them that you can't redeem your card

Depends on what you mean by Microsoft points. Microsoft points were discontinued in 2013 and they started to use a currency system.

If you mean Reward points, you would need to redeem Xbox gift cards and redeem enough to cover the amount of the change.

If you mean gamerscore, that has no monetary value and can't be used for purchases.
