Bought a Gift for a friend in Australia and I live in the USA and it will not let him...

I bought an item from the Xbox store on my computer the item was a gift. Now I sent the item to my friend and the account is known to be an Australian account and it let me send the item from my side to his side. He got an email saying that Australians can not accept gifts from my country(USA).

Well, the funny thing is if Microsoft/Xbox knows this then why was I even allowed to send the gift and why was Microsoft/Xbox even allowed to take my money? I have been up ALL night dealing with this and the massive amounts of the over-and-over circling and switching me back and forth from this help section to the next help section.

This is pretty pathetic doing this to people that spend money on gaming items and especially knowing how BIG of a company microsoft is. I called for help on the phone and got nothing besides a dumb message after many minutes, that told me the offices are closed. So I called the Australian office and got the same message and then it hung up on me. So how do Australians get threw to microsoft?

I have a bunch of screenshots including the one from my friend that says that he can't accept the item. Also the chat help that got me to a phone call and then they got me to the Xbox help after passing me threw stages to talk to them finally and then the Xbox side said a few words and hung up.

So what's with this? All I wanted was a refund and the way that microsoft shows how to do a refund and was wrong, there is no refund button or message anywhere near or around it on the page like they said in the help section, and also there is nothing anywhere that says what to do if there is nowhere to be able to click on this so-called refund button.



So what's the problem? America and Australia have no restrictions between anything like gifting a person a virtual tank for a game, I'm pretty sure.
