Bought a game on XB1 and it wants me to pay for it again

    Bought a game on XB1 and it wants me to pay for it again


    Like as if i never bought it in the first place. Looked up this problem before and ive tried things like checking my download history which only says to view it in the store and not to redownload and i know i bought it off of my account because i only have the one on my xbox. Ive got the email and receipt for it and it shows in my xbox purchase history but i just cant download it without having to pay for it again it seems which i obviously dont want to do. Any help please?

    I'm willing to bet you bought them on another account. What other accounts resided on your old console?

    Recover them all to your new console and try to download those games from each one.

    Hi there Michael welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Have you tried using your phone Xbox app to install the game? Sometimes this fixes the glitch also I suggest uninstalling the app completely! Everytime that it tried to give me a hard time I do this and it works wonders! Here are the steps!

    I want the digital version, but I dont want to pay $60 again for the same game. I wish there was some way for me to prove I bought the game at full price retail and allowed me to download the digital copy for free.
