both xbox one controllers go left in the dashboard and will not let me click A X Y B to play ...

Thanks for bringing us this issue! Sounds like the console could benefit from a soft factory reset (while keeping games and apps).Also
word of advice hard wire the controllers in case they need to be
updated, said update would be pushed through. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes!!

their was an old parent controll lock onto it, i called MS and they waled me right through it..

if anybody in the near future needs the factory reset code for dashboard update 2.0.16203.0 this is it ----> LT, RT, X, Y, LB, RB, LEFT, UP, RIGHT, LEFT {on the D-Pad.)

Settings -> System -> System Info, now type each one of these codes then a prompt will come up asking to rest the xbox to default, if none of them work, you'll need to call Xbox Support at 1800-4MY-Xbox.:

The left right x left clearing cache is the same as this clearing cache...

.

1. Go to the system blade on the dashboard

2. Go to the right to Memory

3. Press Y

4. Click "Clear Cache"

5. Click Yes

.

Both will do the same thing. Hopefully everything is worked out.

And yes it is normal for it to kick you out of every game after you clear the cache. That's because it is adding the most recent update. Once it applies the most recent update, you wont have to update again unless you clear the cache again.
