    Hello everyone,

    I have Verizon FIOS at home right now and it is properly working with all my devices but not with my consoles.

    When I play videogames I have lags and slow connection and sometimes I get kicked off from the game.

    I called Verizon support different times and they tried to solve the problem, I did port forwarding and rebooted the devices so many times but they are not able to understand what is wrong.

    When I ran the speed test I have around 900-1000 of download speed but my upload speed is around 14-17Mbps.

    Does anyone know what the issue can be and how to solve this??

    Hello,

    I am using an extender connected wireless and the extender is connected to my consoles with ethernet. Everything looks good from any other device. Verizon tech supports checked everything and helped me with port forwarding but nothing changes.

    The minimum should be at least 300Mbps not 14.

    I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues.

    The upload and download speed may be different if you do not have a symmetrical plan contracted with your internet provider. In asymmetrical plans, the upload speed can be between 5 to 20% of the download speed.

    Additionally, are you using a WiFi or wired connection?

    that is exponentially more bandwidth than you required to play online. Upload is not symmetrical to download because it doesn't need to be.

    If you're using the dashboard speed test, you're only pinging the login servers and it is not representative of gameplay

    The size of the pipe that you pay for from your ISP is not representative of what online companies are willing to provide you. Gigabit Internet is intended for a family of four heavy users, not one giant fat pipe

    Xbox One X Upload Speeds

    My internet package as advertised by my ISP is 150 MB/s. download and 150 MB/s. upload.

    While running speed tests on my PC, I am getting results in the range of: 150 - 170 MB/s. download and 140 - 150 MB/s. upload.

    While doing speed test on my Xbox OneX, the results are : 20 - 27 MB/s. download and 9 - 11 MB/s. upload.

    Both my PC and Xbox OneX are connected via an ethernet cable. Now I'm far from being the most tech savvy guy out there, but something seems way off. I have researched multiple help/troubleshoot pages, to no avail.

    I too would like to hear any information/help in regards to this.

    Hi heres a thought you might wanna consider. My router has a 2.4Ghz and a 5Ghz connection I usually game on my 5ghz for gaming purposes and I get around 40mb/s to about 60mb/s on my xbox one X. 2.4ghz does runs a lil slower. Does your ISP offer
    two bandwith connection through your router? If so that might help.
    Thanks for the reply, yea iv tried both the 2.4ghz and 5.0ghz wireless networks there was a difference but not a positive one (still limited to 3Mbps upload).

    Currently i am now hard wired with the same 3Mbps upload.
