    BO6 Error Code 0x0


    Since I was prompted to install a 2.5 gigabyte update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, I have been unable to launch the game. I initially installed the game through Game Pass, and to get it running, I had to create a desktop shortcut and run it as an administrator; otherwise, the game would crash.

    However, now, regardless of whether I try to launch it from the shortcut or directly from the Xbox app, the game loads for about 25 seconds before crashing with error code 0X0. I have spent approximately 4 hours searching through forums, threads, and YouTube videos for a solution, but nothing I tried has worked.

    This morning, I reached out to Xbox Support for assistance. Unfortunately, they were unable to resolve the issue and directed me to Activision Support. The first representative I spoke with escalated my case to a higher level of support, but ultimately, I was informed that they could not help me either.

    Things I've tried:

    • Driver Update
    • Set system clock to auto (also sync it)
    • Restart PC
    • Do the gaming services reinstall command via powershell
    • sfc /scannow and dism repair
    • unplug all devices from USB ports
    • close all programs
    • verify game
    • install & move game to a different drive
    • repair and reset via windows program settings
    • create a shortcut and run it as admin
    • delete programs like rWASD, iCUE, razer synapse, ds4windows, and similar
    • set region to USA and/or UK
    • only download the base COD Launcher without BO6/MW3/Content & Cross Gen Packs

    I dont know what the error code is but i had the same problem all day. tried all sorts of things to fix it. What worked for me was...well, i turned my xbox off. But i didn't use the controller or the kinect. I held the button down on the console until it
    turned off. Once off waited a minute and when i turned it back on it started to download. You could give that a shot and see if that works for you to.

    • Restart device.

    Clear Microsoft Store cache:

    • Clear the cache of the Microsoft Store by pressing the Windows key + R, typing wsreset.exe , and then pressing Enter.
