BluRay Player Turning off Audio

I've never encountered a BluRay player that didn't play DVDs and Audio CDs....

Oh, one more thing. There is not menu command for DVD/BluRay. So keep your other remotes handy for that. Otherwise it does great with the BluRay player. Even remembers where you left off on a DVD after turning the Xbox console off. Resumes exactly where
you left off.

Just tried it on a different TV that hasn't ever suffered the "soap opera" effect and it was pretty bad. I tried both Blu-ray and DVD and both were unwatchable. I'll probably call support for this. I'm plagued with other weird issues as well that requires
me to physically disconnect the power to xbone. So far, the only thing it has been good for is playing games. Luckily it is my 7 yr olds and he has no expectations other than playing games. Thanks for your help though!

This seems to happen with two different scenarios for me.

1. Put a film in, start watching. If something happens in the background then it knocks the audio out.

Example: Housemate walks in the room, recognises him, signs him in, the audio gets knocked out.

2. Watching something in episodes, when it switches to the next episode the audio gets knocked out.

Example: Watching Peep Show, first episode played fine, episode finishes and it moves on to the next episode with the audio knocked out of sync.

This happens on both Bluray and DVD.

I'm running a surround sound system via optical, so a quick test with switching the audio back to the TV showed the problem still exists.

One solution I've found works every time is to grab the controller, press one of the triggers to fast forward or rewind a couple of seconds and press play.

Obviously a bug but hope this helps others with a temporary solution.
