Bluetooth Keyboard + Mouse compatibility with Xbox

I have a bluetooth keyboard and mouse that pair by Bluetooth module. I also have an Xbox One from between 2013 and 2014, and I prefer the keyboard and mouse controls for most games. I am aware that the older consoles do not have Bluetooth capabilities, butI was wondering if this will work, and if this will have any negative effects on the console.

To connect a keyboard and mouse to Xbox Cloud Gaming, you will need to have a compatible device that supports Bluetooth or USB connectivity. Here are the steps to connect your keyboard and mouse:

1. Turn on your keyboard and mouse and make sure they are in pairing mode.

2. On your Xbox Cloud Gaming device, go to Settings > Devices & accessories > Accessories.

3. Select "Add Bluetooth or other devices" and choose either "Bluetooth" or "USB" depending on the type of connection you are using.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process.

Once your keyboard and mouse are connected, you should be able to use them to play games on Xbox Cloud Gaming. Note that not all games may support keyboard and mouse input, so be sure to check the game's documentation or support page for more information.

You can use an external mouse and keyboard but you might encounter compatibility issues such as a double mouse cursor, jerky mouse movement, or incorrect keyboard mappings.

There are some games that are compatible with a mouse and keyboard. Not all games available on the Xbox are compatible with a mouse and keyboard.

I'm sorry to inform you that even if you have a Bluetooth module/receiver, it won't work to connect a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to your Xbox console. It is necessary for both accessories to be connected via a USB cable to the console's USB ports.

As an additional note, the new consoles (Xbox Series X|S) also do not feature Bluetooth technology. Xbox accessories, such as official wireless controllers and headphones, connect using Xbox's own wireless technology. In contrast, on other devices like a PC, controllers connect via Bluetooth.

The only way wireless keyboards and mice could be connected to Xbox consoles in the future would be if Microsoft manufactures these accessories to be compatible with Xbox's wireless technology or includes an adapter that works with the console.
