Blue Ray Player on Xbox One X doesn't load

Discus and support Blue Ray Player on Xbox One X doesn't load in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have a new Xbox One X and I cannot get the Blueray player (from Microsoft) to install.     Blue Ray Player on Xbox One X doesn't load


    I have a new Xbox One X and I cannot get the Blueray player (from Microsoft) to install. It doesn't seem to even download.

    I get the error:-

    I've tried this several time, done a full restart, hot and cold!

    I have no space issues , the 2 TB drive isn't even half used up.

    I am trying to watch the Game of Thrones Season 7 Blue Ray disc. The same disc works fine on my computer or my seperate Blue Ray player so this isn't a disc issue

    Uninstall the Blur ray app, Then clear local saved games and the MAC address before installing it again, That should fix it

    It seems to be a common problem with certain 4K UHD Blue Ray disks on the Xbox One and Series X.

    My Xbox One X refuses to play certain 4K UHD Blue Ray disks as well and I know it's not the disks that's causing the problem as they play on my stand alone 4K Blue Ray player.

    I love everything about the Xbox S except for the 4k blue ray player. I bought 2 4k UHD disks, The Revenant and Star Trek Into Darkness. The Revenant had major audio sync problems which just come and go. Star Trek Into Darkness would not even load. Returned

    Hopefully Microsoft will be able to fix this quickly.

    I ended up doing that as I was a bit worried about the optical drive in my Xbox One x when it refused to play certain 4k Blue ray disks.
    My old Xbox One X had issues with some UHD movies, so much so that I too bought a stand alone UHD Blue-ray player. Playback issues were (probably still are) common on the One X. I've never played a single Blu-ray, UHD Blu-ray or DVD in my Series X.

    There really isn't any need to test all of the discs. Test a few. If the discs are in good clean order they would have played on another BD player.
