    Blu rays stutter


    For the past year I’ve encountered numerous playback issues with Blu ray and UHD discs on my Xbox One X. Sometimes the disc will fail to load repeatedly until the system is hard power cycled; ejecting the disc, reinstalling the app, clearing the blu ray
    data cache, restarting the app/system do not fix this issue typically. Sometimes UHD playback will randomly glitch. Recently in the past few weeks movies that have extended editions or alternate scenes inserted will noticeably freeze and stutter at the end
    of such scenes. An example of this is at the end of the intro text at the beginning of each Star Wars movie on blu ray (since they have language specific intro text on blu ray depending on which language track is selected). This problem is new in the past
    month or so and is very reproducible. If there is a better way to report this to Microsoft to have it fixed, please tell me how. Otherwise, Microsoft, please fix these very frustrating issues! A $500 console should not have these problems. They didn’t used
    to happen before either.

    I've also had blu-ray problems since day one, both with out of sync and stuttering. I've had my system replaced through the Microsoft warranty program and the new one is the same, either audio and/or video stutters intermittently. I'm pretty sure it's
    the blu-ray app. Which really isn't a big surprise considering how terrible the OS is it's no wonder the blu-ray app is terrible.

    Playing Blu-ray? Frame Rate issues? Ghosting?

    I haven't seen any blu-rays played yet.

    But when I was using my friends console the other day I noticed there was a setting for 24fps in the consoles Blu-ray settings.

    Most blu-rays use 24fps so try changing that setting to see if it helps with the stutter.
