Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night fails with error code 0x803F8001

Hello!

I've been using XBox (Beta) Game pass for PC for the past couple of days on my Win 10 laptop.

While I was able to install and play Gears of War 4, I've haven't had such luck with Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

I was able to download it, but when I click on the Play button I get the following error:

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is currently not available in your account. Make sure you are signed in to the Store and try again. Here’s the error code, in case you need it: 0x803F8001

It's the same error regardless how I try to launch it - from the MS Store, Xbox app or Win Start menu.

As per other forum posts I've encountered, I've tried reinstalling the Gaming Services app, but to no avail.

What you suggest I should try next?

After logging in today, all titles were available and I got Bloodstained installed and working.

Thanks for looking into my (frustrating) problem.

I've tried the steps you suggested, but to no avail.

I've tried resetting and repairing the game, with no luck, though...

Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the response. That is odd because I just checked the Microsoft Store (US) and the game is showing as available to get with the membership or buy to own so it is still listed in the Store to download. What region are you in? Do your Windows settings
correctly reflect your region? This is possibly something to investigate as it could be region-specific based on regional availability. However, I would also make sure that Windows is completely up to date by checking the Windows Update Assitant in your Settings.

order history? Do you see the license for the game in your
game list on the website? We recommend making sure that you are
signed in to the Xbox Console Companion app with the account that owns the game. Once you have signed in to the Xbox Console Companion app, go ahead and try launching the game. Be sure to let us know the results

Hello Diego,

It turned out that my Microsoft account region/address was old.

I've synced it to the actual region (UK) and now the game shows up in MS Store.

Unfortunately, I've bumped into another problem when trying to download the game.

After I click on the Install button, the "Downloading" status is displayed for some time after which it ends with the following error:

Something unexpected happened

Reporting this problem will help us understand it better. You can wait a bit and try again or restart your device. That may help.

I've tried this with 2 other games as well and none of them could be downloaded and installed.

What now?
